I had one curious incident last week when I had to drive my friend to Bedford for an interviews regarding National Insurance number in their local JobcentrePlus office.

I went to the JobcentrePlus office just about 4 minutes later my friend did just for the reason I had to "release the pressure", i.e. go to toilet.
On my question whether I could use the customer toilets, the security guy asked "what are you here for?". I said "well.. for a toilet..". He said sorry we can't let you in. Embarassed

Well I went in anyways, just to accompany my friend and hoping that if I would ask somebody else - they would be more understanding... Later I asked for the same thing to one of the clerk ladies: "could I use customer toilets?" Once again I was surprised with "what are you here for?" I tried to be more creative sayinng "well, to look for a job.." showing my job-ad printouts. She said "sorry, if you would have an interview with us, we could allow you to use our toilets. They are not public you see...

The end of this story was happy (I managed to find some pub where the bar-man was so kind to let to use their toilets) but the morale still stands - Do you really need to book an appointment to be able to use a toilet of a public office?? If yes, then wouldn't it be rather convenient to display a criteria to match to stand a chance for a fair "relief"..?

So this is just to make sure all you guys out there have a good reason and proper authorization before you think of asking of such serious favour... LOL Cool
